Hybrid Brag Book

I know I promised photos a few days ago, but we have been soooo super busy at the store. Between the yard sale, classes and a crop I just have been running non-stop. Anyway I had a chance to get this done. I'll try to add a photo of the inside soon.

Just checking in

I had a fun filled day of scrappin' with my buds on Saturday. Then I spent the day shopping with the familia today. I've started working on next month's class calendar and classes. Think chipboard, tins, fun paper and cool transparencies. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

Lately ........

I haven't really had a lot of times to blog lately. Between getting March classes together, new store samples, endless ordering, Chris being Brenden's new soccer coach and Logan turning 1 1/2 yesterday I haven't had much times. I wanted to share something though, so I figured that I would post some photos of my upcoming classes. I can't wait to get some photos into these.

Just breathe ........

I had to tell myself that several times today. Just breathe. I'm working really hard to not let things bother me. It's hard with Logan teething and Brenden just being .... well ...... four. I always want to do more than what I actally have time to do. The sad thing is I really think I am going to get all these things done and then I am totally heart broken when I don't. I did get a page done today and it only took me like 15 minutes. That is unheard of in my world. Plus I actually like the page, go figure. I'll scan it and post it because I know you guys wont believe it until you see it. So maybe ala Ali Edwards I should pick a word for the year. Maybe my word should be "Simplify". Then I would get more scrapping done. Of course then I would get myself all worked trying to reorganize my life. Maybe I should just stick to trying to be calm. Maybe my word should be "Breathe". Just breathe.

Saw it in print ............

I got to see my "My Life" page in the January issue of Scrapbook Trends a few days ago. I was at Memories and even though they are closing they happened to get it the day before. I didn't buy one. I figure I will get a couple in the mail eventually. You usually get them with your page.

This year ......

This year I am going to scrap more for me. Not for work, but for me. Just because I want to. Just because it moves me. Just because I love to.

This year I am going to save all my pennies (literally) and I am going to buy a Rebel.

This year I am going to get over my fear of rejection and I am going to submit more of my work to magazines and design teams.

This year I am going to take the time to really enjoy my children.

This year I am going to take a deap breath, realize that it is not as important as I think it is and be calm.

This year I will be calm.

"I Love You" - Mini Book

Busy busy day

The day is almost over and yet I feel like I have sooooo much left to do today. I went to work and BG Blush had just arrived, plus we had to get the store ready for a 25 percent off everything Holiday sale. I brought home stuff to make product samples and almost a week later I still haven't opened up my new printer. Go figure. Plus my mini book still isn't done. I do however have the kits for book club ready. I am so excited about that. I really hope that it goes well.

The past few weeks .......

The past few weeks have been totally crazy busy. Seriously I feel like we haven't stopped running. So much cool new stuff has come into the store. We had an overnight crop that went really well. There have been classes and crops, plus the first meeting of the book club is this Sunday. I am soooo excited. It seems like everything is coming together. I am really hoping to get everything back to normal in the next few days and I will try to update my blog regularly. Thanks for reading. I'm going to work on my purse mini book. Sooooooo much fun! Soooo Tired Equals Sooo Unhappy

I am soooo tired. Not just physically, but mentally. I need to take a mental holiday where I think of nothing important and am responsible for nothing. Not just regular everyday kind of responsibilities, but also things that shouldn't be my resonsibility. Like people's happiness. I don't want to be responsible for anyone's happiness, not even my own. Maybe someone else can make me happy ......... what an ingenious concept. I can make someone else responsible for MY happiness. Now that would be fabulous. You shouldn't take me toooo seriously. This just happens to everyone. You feel overwhelmed with life and then you get to the point where you want to do nothing. I did however do something for me a couple of days ago. I signed up for Shimelle's class. Ironically today's promp is about what makes you HAPPY. Today of all days, the day that I am the least happy I have been in a long time. I don't think I can do it. Not today. Maybe tomorrow. I don't even want to go look through my stuff and pull supplies together. Now that is unhappy.

What I Love

What I love ........ so many things these days. My boys, my dog Sally, my hubby. The standards you know. But what else? There are soooooo many things. Anything pink, my camera, my new PINK Razor, ordering cool new stuff, teaching, exploring, decorating my house ...... Like I said sooooo many things these days. That is something I have been thinking about a lot lately and so I think it probably deserves a place in my scrapbooks. I think however this time I am going to do something different, atleast different for me. ;)

The Cable Guy

A wonderful man from the cable company came to visit today. He completely changed all the conections outside and now so far my internet, phone and cable are all working. My stress level has instantly gone down. I can blog, I can work, I can email and I can have a converesation on the phone without worrying about how many minutes I have been on the phone. It has been absolutely fabulous. I think I might go and bake an apple tart now to celebrate.

Bad Blogger

Well I have been a bad blogger lately, but I really hasn't been completely my fault. I've been sick, my boys have been sick and lastly my internet connection has been sick. LOL

Anyway lots of new stuff has come into the store lately. Really cool stamps, a new AL line, 2 Artic Frog lines and 2 Fancy Pants lines. So that means I have a ton of work to get done, plus I need to finalize the calendar for next month. I had better hurry up and post the pics of this months classes before I get knocked offline and I can't get on again.

Pea Challenge - Change The World

If I could change the world today I would add a few extra hours for playing with my kids, being artsy, hangin' with my hubby and of course sleeping.

Yay for me!!!!

I finally started submitting again less than a month ago and to my surprise I got one of my layouts requested today. It was the best treat ever after a long trying day of running errands with the kids. It gave me the energy to keep searching vendors for more new cool stuff. Hey maybe some new cool stuff will get me published again as well as help Susan out. Double bonus. LOL
Anyway after searching through 7Gypsies, Scenic Route, Fancy Pants and Junkitz I read a post about Artic Frog. Ok I had heard about them before and maybe even seen a L/O made with it, but I never had taken a really good look. It rocks!!!! I hope Susan can get it in time. I'm really excited about all the new stuff that will be coming in. With the scrapbook yard sale on the 7th, all the new orders trickling in and the classes taking off I have been super busy lately. I need to get a make and take ready for the yard sale, product samples for anything new that comes in and start working on the November classes. It's all good though. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my job.

Holidays

So I have spent the last week working on Holiday pages and projects. It just feels really wierd to do it because it's only September and my kids are still in shorts. Yet here I am scrapbooking Christmas and working on Holiday decorations and projects. Wierd. Then again that may have something to do with my tendency to procrastinate when it comes to making those holiday gift books. I know, I know as AR as I am about meeting deadlines and finishing what I have started how on earth is that possible? All I know is every year I say I am going to start early and every year I am rushing to finish and paying way too much for priority mail. Go figure.

Taking A Day Off

I am finally all caught up with my class projects, so I think I am going to take a day or two off. Well maybe one ...... a few hours?
The thing is I never stop thinking about projects, except for the occasional mental holiday that makes my DH crazy, but for the most part it is always going on somewhere in the back of my head. I can't help but look at something and think "What can I make that into? or "That could be cool for a layout?". It's a illness I know. LOL It is right up there with my uncanny ability to remember just about anything I read. Word for word sometimes. It's scary. It freaks my friends out. They even call me "Encyclopedia Veronica" upon occasion. However I am going to try and shut it off for a while and take a break. Relax. Refresh. Renew.

Baby's First Year in 3 Pages

I thought this would be a cool concept for a baby pages class. If you haven't yet done your baby pages this is a good no pressure way to start. You get all 12 months done, then you can pick and choose what you want to do after that and add to it with no pressure. If you have already done a lot of pages, then it is a cool way to take a look at how your baby has grown and changed over time. The one page spread is just a favorite pic that you love of your little one. I just loved designing this class. It was so much fun to see how my little Logee has grown.

(You get a choice of pink or blue.)

Soccer Mom

So last night at exactly 7pm I became a Soccer Mom. I never knew that I wanted to be one, but now that I am one I really kinda like it. It was sooooo much fun. To tell you the truth I never liked playing sports. It just wasn't my thing. Although out of all the team sports if I had to choose one to play, I would choose soccer. Brenden seems to really like soccer also. Even though he was the smallest and the youngest I think he kept up. Especially since this is his first go at it and a lot of the kids on his team have been playing for the last 3 years. I think he will catch up. We are going to work with him and he really wants to do it. That makes all the difference in the world. He's a pretty determined kid. Anyway I have to get back to work. I have class samples to finish, laundry to fold and kids to play with. A soccer mom's work is never done. LOL
P.S. I will try to post some pictures later today.
