Card - Week 4

So I was at the cabin with all my friends this weekend which has made me a bit late with my card. However I had a fantastic time, so I am totally ok with it. LOL

My journaling is behind the picture. I had been carrying this around for a while. I just needed to scrap it already.

Project 365 and some random stuff.

So I was reading about Project 365 and you know what? I think it is pretty darn cool. So cool that I decided to do it. It seems like a pretty quick and easy way to capture your life. Apparently you can't get the kit anymore, but that's ok because I don't really care for copying things anyway. Although I have to say that the kit is really nice and you can certainly do lots to alter it. I can always make my own. Of course I'm a few days late starting, so I guess I need to take a look at my photos taken so far. Considering I'm such a shutterbug, I'm sure it wont be a problem.

Talking about shutterbugs, I found the coolest camera strap ever made by Emily Falconbrige http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=102997 . It totally reminds me of my super cool guitar strap.

Oh and I found these really great pens yesterday. They are permanent, super fine tipped and yes they are acid free. The best part was they were only like six dollars and some change for a big pack of them. I found a cute bucket for a dollar and there you go.

My New Year's Resolution

OK so this is a two part resolution. The first part is to update my blog regularly and the second part is to make more cards. I really don't make cards because I'm bad about giving them out. I just don't like to give them away. I feel like I am wasting them. LOL However my mom told me during her recent visit that my aunt loves to get handmade cards as a gift. So of course she got a bunch that I had been hoarding, plus some new one's that I made specifically for her as a Christmas gift. Plus I gave some to my mom. I couldn't leave her out, after all she keeps all the stuff I make her and if you know her that is a BIG deal. She would toss you out if you sat there too long. LOL Anyhow I have decided to make a card a week and post a picture of it on my blog. This way I'm forced to keep up with my blog and make the cards. I know that I missed one week already because we were out of town, so I will make two this weekend and we can pretend one of them has been there all week. ;)

P.S. If I forget to post my card I expect to get some very stern emails from my friends. After all someone needs to keep me in line.

I'm back!!!!! Woo hoo!

I have so much to share. It's been a busy holiday season filled with family and friends. I've loved every minute of it. Even though the holidays aren't officially over for my family, we celebrate Three Kings Day ( also known as The Feast of Epiphany), I had a few spare moments while the kids played with their new toys and I wanted to catch you guys up. Let's start with some scrappy crafty fun stuff.

My Dad's Book - I made it as a Christmas gift. My darling husband was kind enough to provide me with a Slice as an early Christmas gift so I went to town. It's not my typical 12 month book. I haven't made one of those in a couple of years, but I wanted to send him something since he hasn't been able to visit in a while. I gathered up all of the photos that I had printed, but not scrapped and put them together in an 8 x 8 album. The pictures span from when I was a baby all the way to right before this Christmas. The great thing about my Dad is that he shows off the books I make him, which kind of makes me laugh because he works with a bunch of lawyers. This project was great because it let me use up a buch of stuff that I had been saving.

An ornament I made to decorate the teacher's Chirstmas gifts.

My huge wreath that is now hanging in the foyer. I decorated it and my Mom made the bow. Thanks Mom! Believe it or not I have four more wreaths to decorate for the windows on the front of the house and yes I'll do them now if I can find the flowers.

My brother and sisters. This is the first time that we have all been together since I was pregnant with Brenden.

Just the girls!

Ok this post is long enough. TTFN
