Busy busy day

The day is almost over and yet I feel like I have sooooo much left to do today. I went to work and BG Blush had just arrived, plus we had to get the store ready for a 25 percent off everything Holiday sale. I brought home stuff to make product samples and almost a week later I still haven't opened up my new printer. Go figure. Plus my mini book still isn't done. I do however have the kits for book club ready. I am so excited about that. I really hope that it goes well.

The past few weeks .......

The past few weeks have been totally crazy busy. Seriously I feel like we haven't stopped running. So much cool new stuff has come into the store. We had an overnight crop that went really well. There have been classes and crops, plus the first meeting of the book club is this Sunday. I am soooo excited. It seems like everything is coming together. I am really hoping to get everything back to normal in the next few days and I will try to update my blog regularly. Thanks for reading. I'm going to work on my purse mini book. Sooooooo much fun! Where I wish I was .........

This is where I wish I was right now. Curled up reading a really good book, in a really quiet house, with my huge Pooh mug filled with coffee.

Soooo Tired Equals Sooo Unhappy

I am soooo tired. Not just physically, but mentally. I need to take a mental holiday where I think of nothing important and am responsible for nothing. Not just regular everyday kind of responsibilities, but also things that shouldn't be my resonsibility. Like people's happiness. I don't want to be responsible for anyone's happiness, not even my own. Maybe someone else can make me happy ......... what an ingenious concept. I can make someone else responsible for MY happiness. Now that would be fabulous. You shouldn't take me toooo seriously. This just happens to everyone. You feel overwhelmed with life and then you get to the point where you want to do nothing. I did however do something for me a couple of days ago. I signed up for Shimelle's class. Ironically today's promp is about what makes you HAPPY. Today of all days, the day that I am the least happy I have been in a long time. I don't think I can do it. Not today. Maybe tomorrow. I don't even want to go look through my stuff and pull supplies together. Now that is unhappy.

What I Love

What I love ........ so many things these days. My boys, my dog Sally, my hubby. The standards you know. But what else? There are soooooo many things. Anything pink, my camera, my new PINK Razor, ordering cool new stuff, teaching, exploring, decorating my house ...... Like I said sooooo many things these days. That is something I have been thinking about a lot lately and so I think it probably deserves a place in my scrapbooks. I think however this time I am going to do something different, atleast different for me. ;)

The Cable Guy

A wonderful man from the cable company came to visit today. He completely changed all the conections outside and now so far my internet, phone and cable are all working. My stress level has instantly gone down. I can blog, I can work, I can email and I can have a converesation on the phone without worrying about how many minutes I have been on the phone. It has been absolutely fabulous. I think I might go and bake an apple tart now to celebrate.

Bad Blogger

Well I have been a bad blogger lately, but I really hasn't been completely my fault. I've been sick, my boys have been sick and lastly my internet connection has been sick. LOL

Anyway lots of new stuff has come into the store lately. Really cool stamps, a new AL line, 2 Artic Frog lines and 2 Fancy Pants lines. So that means I have a ton of work to get done, plus I need to finalize the calendar for next month. I had better hurry up and post the pics of this months classes before I get knocked offline and I can't get on again.

Pea Challenge - Change The World

If I could change the world today I would add a few extra hours for playing with my kids, being artsy, hangin' with my hubby and of course sleeping.

Yay for me!!!!

I finally started submitting again less than a month ago and to my surprise I got one of my layouts requested today. It was the best treat ever after a long trying day of running errands with the kids. It gave me the energy to keep searching vendors for more new cool stuff. Hey maybe some new cool stuff will get me published again as well as help Susan out. Double bonus. LOL
Anyway after searching through 7Gypsies, Scenic Route, Fancy Pants and Junkitz I read a post about Artic Frog. Ok I had heard about them before and maybe even seen a L/O made with it, but I never had taken a really good look. It rocks!!!! I hope Susan can get it in time. I'm really excited about all the new stuff that will be coming in. With the scrapbook yard sale on the 7th, all the new orders trickling in and the classes taking off I have been super busy lately. I need to get a make and take ready for the yard sale, product samples for anything new that comes in and start working on the November classes. It's all good though. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my job.

Holidays

So I have spent the last week working on Holiday pages and projects. It just feels really wierd to do it because it's only September and my kids are still in shorts. Yet here I am scrapbooking Christmas and working on Holiday decorations and projects. Wierd. Then again that may have something to do with my tendency to procrastinate when it comes to making those holiday gift books. I know, I know as AR as I am about meeting deadlines and finishing what I have started how on earth is that possible? All I know is every year I say I am going to start early and every year I am rushing to finish and paying way too much for priority mail. Go figure.

The new Autumn Leaves stuff came in, so it is back to work for me. This stuff is soooo cool. Three new lines with tons of embellies to match and the best part is I get to play with it all. Who could ask for a better job? Not me. I am working on classes and product samples right now. Sooooo fun. Lucky lucky me.

Taking A Day Off

I am finally all caught up with my class projects, so I think I am going to take a day or two off. Well maybe one ...... a few hours?
The thing is I never stop thinking about projects, except for the occasional mental holiday that makes my DH crazy, but for the most part it is always going on somewhere in the back of my head. I can't help but look at something and think "What can I make that into? or "That could be cool for a layout?". It's a illness I know. LOL It is right up there with my uncanny ability to remember just about anything I read. Word for word sometimes. It's scary. It freaks my friends out. They even call me "Encyclopedia Veronica" upon occasion. However I am going to try and shut it off for a while and take a break. Relax. Refresh. Renew.

Baby's First Year in 3 Pages

I thought this would be a cool concept for a baby pages class. If you haven't yet done your baby pages this is a good no pressure way to start. You get all 12 months done, then you can pick and choose what you want to do after that and add to it with no pressure. If you have already done a lot of pages, then it is a cool way to take a look at how your baby has grown and changed over time. The one page spread is just a favorite pic that you love of your little one. I just loved designing this class. It was so much fun to see how my little Logee has grown.

(You get a choice of pink or blue.)

Soccer Mom

So last night at exactly 7pm I became a Soccer Mom. I never knew that I wanted to be one, but now that I am one I really kinda like it. It was sooooo much fun. To tell you the truth I never liked playing sports. It just wasn't my thing. Although out of all the team sports if I had to choose one to play, I would choose soccer. Brenden seems to really like soccer also. Even though he was the smallest and the youngest I think he kept up. Especially since this is his first go at it and a lot of the kids on his team have been playing for the last 3 years. I think he will catch up. We are going to work with him and he really wants to do it. That makes all the difference in the world. He's a pretty determined kid. Anyway I have to get back to work. I have class samples to finish, laundry to fold and kids to play with. A soccer mom's work is never done. LOL
P.S. I will try to post some pictures later today.

Matchbook Mini Book

Matchbook Mini Book Inside

This is the inside and a pic of my cutie. I am really excited about this class. You can pick a number for the age or a letter if you want to put multiple birthday photos. Every page has a quote on the outside and a picture on the inside.

8 Years And Counting

Today is our 8th Anniversary. So I thought I would share this l/o that I had been holding on to for a few weeks now. Chris is at work now and I need to do some work tonight, so I guess we will be celebrating this weekend. That is fine. If we try to go out to dinner tonight, it will take us forever to get the kids settled down and we will both be exhausted tomorrow. This weekend is a long one and we can spend a day out with the kids instead. After all, it's the love that matters right?

Two Peas - Blog Challenge

What do I like about crops? Hmmmm..............well that is easy. Everything! I love going to crops, they are sooooo much fun. I like being with people who love this genre of art as much as I do. So far as not liking things go I am a very live and let live - it's all good kinda girl. Very little bothers me. I think the only thing that does, is people who are way too hung up on this being the only two seconds they get to themselves so they get bent out of shape because of every stinkin' thing that is going on around them. I just about always go out of my way to help people, so it really bothers me when people get all bent out of shape or are totally inflexible when it comes to little things. For me a lot of times it is my only time "off", but if I wanted to spend it in silence or by myself I would go to the library and read a good book. There is nothing wrong with reading a good book sometimes.

Pet Pages

This page is from a pet pages class that I will be teaching at EMI Scrapbooking in Cumming, GA. I will be doing it in Dog and Cat. The class includes a 2 page spread and a 1 page l/o and I will be using mostly the Autumn Leaves Cat or Dog line depending on which one you choose.

Catching Up

Wow sooooo much has happened since my last post.

Logan turned 1 on Saturday and he can now walk and talk. We took him to buy big boy walking shoes and to play at the park for the first time. He had a blast on the slide and the swing. He got lots of presents and a banana birthday cake. He and Brenden are having so much fun with his new toys.

I just got a job as a teacher at a LSS that just opened this month in my area. I was just soooo excited that there was a store around here, then when I went there I realized that I knew the owner. Susan is such a great girl and we have become fast friends. We share the same vision when it comes to what we think a class should be and she has given me the freedom to create whatever I want for my classes. That is rare and for that I am very grateful to her. I am rushing to get my classes done, I want to offer at least 4 this month to kinda figure out what people want. I just finished a Birthday Matchbook Mini Book, a Pet Pages class and I am now putting together a Family Photos Brag Book. I have so many ideas right now and not enough time to get it done. Well it could be worse, I could have lots of time and no ideas. LOL

I'm Back!!!

So, I've been a bad blogger lately. I was just sooooo caught up with getting ready for CKU that I couldn't concentrate. I had such a good time!!! I met all kinds of cool people. Elsie signed my book. My hubby and kids brought me a Birthday cake on Friday during my lunch break and they went to Atlanta Scrapbook and got Ali to sign a book for me for a Birthday present. Plus I met two very fun girls (Michelle and Janell) who got Margie to sing Happy Birthday to me on Saturday during our last class track. Jenn was awesome and Margie was such a rock star. But most importantly I came back sooooo very inspired. I am ready to get back to work. I'll post some of my inspired pages soon.

My Very Cool Art Journal

Ok so I've always sketched stuff, but just a day or two ago I started using this new book and for some reason I am on a roll. I completed two pages at a crop tonight and I love them both. Chris says I should start submitting again, but I don't know if I will. I like my work. Is it really important that other people like it?

One Of Those Days

One Of Those Days

Today is one of those days that makes you feel like running for the hills. Seriously it's not just one big thing, but a series of little things. I always feel like there is never enough time in the day to do everything and then when things go wrong it just takes more time away. I want a day to do nothing I have to, but anything I want to. I want to be one of those people who can just let it go and just not worry about it. Dirty dishes - so what. Laundry to fold - who cares. Even when I do let it go because I have a project to finish or I'm just busy running around, I think about it and I let it ruin my day. Sad, but true. I need to just let it go.

Growing Up

Logan is growing up so fast. Today he clapped for the first time. He looked at me and clapped. He very purposefully looked at me and clapped. He was showing me that he could do it. I always do it for him and I've tried to clap his hands but today he did it on his own.

I swear I heard him say Mama earlier this morning when I sat in front of him with his cereal. Up until now all he has said is Dada, but he calls all of us Dada. I guess to him it means his family. I will just have to wait and see if he says it again, since there wasn't anyone else around to hear it. It could just be my wishful thinking.

Two days ago he walked across the living room pushing the laundry basket. I was happy and sad at the same time. My baby is growing up and it is all happening so quickly with him. Logan is 9 1/2 months old and I feel if I blink I might miss it. I don't want to forget a moment of it.
